DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Sandhills Public Schools is a district that includes the communities of Brewster, Dunning, Halsey, and Purdum. The entire district spans nearly 904 square miles in the heart of the Sandhills. Our communities are strong and committed to the education of the district's children. Grades 5-12 (High School Building) are located in Dunning, while the K-4 Elementary School is located in Halsey. All students K-12 benefit from a modern research based curriculum supported with 1 to 1 technology in addition to excellent extra curricular opportunities. The district employs 17 certificated staff members and 10 support staff members. The staff is an experienced staff and committed to students. Sandhills Public Schools aims to develop life long learners and future citizens who can contribute highly and positively.
