DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
The St. Edward Public School is a one-building structure built in 1973 to house both the elementary and secondary classes. This building was built after the district patron passed a bond issue which has since been paid leaving the district debt free.The district has land in three counties: Boone, Platte, and Nance with a combined evaluation of $436,136,432 during the 2015-2016 school years. In 1984 a four-bus garage was added and in December 2011 a metal addition. In 2012 library walls were erected, along with a counselor's office. In 2013 the gymnasium was updated,plus sprinkler installation throughout the building.In 2014, elementary and family consumer science air conditioning was installed.In 2015, new restrooms and air conditioning on the high school side was added. In 2016, a new pre-school playground, lighting in the hallways, parking lot improvements, and the cafeteria floor were refinished. The main source of income in the district is farming and farm related businesses.
