DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Louisville Public Schools is a PreK-12 system located in the north portion of Cass County. Louisville, Cedar Creek and South Bend comprise the majority of the school district. LPS is a C-1 district that consists of 620 students and includes an pre - K through 5 elementary, 6th through 8th middle school, and a 9-12 high school. LPS is engaging in the Marzano process, launching an academic assistance program for every student, and implementing a K-12 one-to-one laptop system. The districts goal is to improve academic success by providing educational strategies that are based on best practices, along with access to technology 24 hours a day. Currently, more than 69% of Louisville’s certified staff members hold advanced degrees. LPS works to meet the needs of each learner by modeling positive behavior, using best teaching practices and providing instruction that results in “real world” problem solving strategies, teaching both effective communication and technology skills.
