DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT


The Elmwood-Murdock School is a PreK-12 district located in the communities of Elmwood and Murdock about 25 miles east of Lincoln. There are approximately 400 students PreK-12th grade. Elmwood is the site to the district's PreK-6th building. Murdock is the home of the 7th-12th grade students. Agriculture is the main industry with many parents and patrons working in Lincoln and Omaha. The mission of the Elmwood-Murdock Public Schools is to "Empower All Students to Achieve Success." The percent of Elmwood-Murdock Public School teachers teaching in their endorsed area is 100%, which exceeds the state average. The mobility rate has dropped to 3.11%, and the ELL rate is .1% all of which are below the state average. The special education is 15.67, which is slightly above the state average.
