The Potter-Dix Public School is designated as School District #9, Cheyenne County, Nebraska. It is a Class III School organized K-6 and 7-12 with a total enrollment of approximately 160 students. The District consists of 512 square miles. There are 2 administrators, 24 faculty members, 4 cooks, 2.25 custodians, 3 bus drivers, 2 secretaries, 6 teacher aides employed by the District. The villages of Potter and Dix can be found in the southern panhandle of the state. Dix has a population of approximately 200 people and Potter has a population of approximately 350 people. Both communities are rural with the majority of people living on a farm or ranch. The Elementary school (K-6) is located in Dix. The Junior and Senior High Schools are located in Potter. The District is small where everyone is someone.
