DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Leigh Community School District(#39) comprises 80.7 square miles. The district covers parts of Colfax, Platte, and Stanton counties.The community's financial base develops from an agriculture economy. The district consists of 2 schools, the Elementary building (K-6) and the Junior-Senior High building (7-12). The mission of Leigh Community Schools is to provide a safe environment with the vision, guidance and educational opportunities necessary for each student to become a responsible, productive citizen.
