DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT


West Point Public Schools is a Class III School District located in Northeast Nebraska. West Point has three parochial school systems within the district. The demographics of the West Point School District show a steady increase in the number of minority students and also students who qualify for free/reduced meals. To meet the needs of our student demographics, the district currently provides ELL instruction and reading intervention programs to qualified students. School-wide Title I programs are provided at West Point Elementary School and Beemer Elementary School. West Point-Beemer Middle School has a Targeted Assistance Title 1 program. An alternative education program is available at the high school. College credit courses are available for high school school students. The West Point Public Schools also has a comphrehensive special education program. West Point Public Schools continuously strive to provide a top quality education for all students.
