DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT


All Schools are fully accredited by the Nebraska Dept of Education. In addition, the school system holds district accreditation through AdvancEd, an independent regional accrediting agency. In 2007, FPS was the first district in Nebraska to receive this designation. Approximately 100 students attend or are served through the Early Childhood Development Center and 150 students are enrolled in neighborhood preschools. 1,750 students attend K-4 at the seven neighborhood elementary schools. Approximately 700 students attend the middle school in grades 7 and 8, 700 students attend Johnson Crossing Academic Center in grades 5 & 6, while 1,350 attend grades 9-12 at the High School. The total district enrollment is approximately 4790.
