DC West serves the communities of Waterloo and Valley and offers an expanded structure to meet the needs of students and residents of both communities and the surrounding areas. DC West offers a strong academic program in combination with a wide variety of extra curricular activities in athletics and the arts. The high school academic program boosts an offering instructional units through on-site programs, online courses, and dual credit offerings that far exceed state standards. Because of its size, students have the opportunity to participate in all of the academic and extra curricular activities. Emphasis on strategic planning and the building of community/school/business partnerships creates shared decision making which strengthens learning experiences for all students.
