DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Medicine Valley School District in 2016-2017 had 224 students with Pre-K through 5 elementary facility and a 6-12 junior-senior high school. Our elementary structure is a Pre-K program with 3-year old's in the morning session and 4-year olds in the afternoon session. The K-3 are are self-contained classrooms, 4-5 is departmentalized in math and science and Grade 6 is then self-contained. There is a classroom teacher for each grade with 03 para-professional's, 01 Special Education teacher and 01 Title I teacher. Medicine Valley works with the ESU #15 staff to align curriculum to the NE State Standards and develop appropriate assessments. Our staff has received the opportunity to learn multiple ways to assess student learning. Medicine Valley utilized the NWEA Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment as the district Norm-Reference Testing instrument.
