DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Alma Public Schools, located in Harlan County of Nebraska covers 180.5 square miles. Alma Public Schools' enrollment at the end of the 2016-2017 school year was: 314 students, 2 administrators, 34 teachers, and 17 staff. It is a Class III, Type K-12 district accredited by the State of Nebraska under the direction of 6 board members. Vocational courses offered in the high school include business, vocational agriculture, and family and consumer science. Adult education programs are available in the high school in cooperation with the Central Community College, Hastings campus. The high school curriculum offers a solid college prep selection of classes which are taught by a very experienced staff. A variety of extra curricular programs are provided for students as well as strong drama, band and vocal programs. Alma Public School is a One-to-One school and all K-12 students are issued school owned Apple laptop computers.
