DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Hayes Center Public Schools serves approximately 105 students in Preschool through 12th grade. The district provides a number of innovative programs and classes for our students. These include High Ability Learner programs for our students throughout the district. In addition, our high school students are offered college level courses, online classes, as well as a number of courses taught through distant learning. The students have partnered with our instructors to excel in vocational agriculture, music, speech, drama and journalism. Our graduation rate remains high. Each year our students participate in the state required testing and perform well in several areas. The low student to teacher ratio has been very beneficial in providing for the individual educational needs of our students. Students are provided opportunities to learn and excel in Student Council, Quiz Bowl, FFA, while also participating in a number of school sponsored athletic programs.
