DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Malcolm School District comprises approx. 85.3 sq. miles in NW Lancaster and 2.6 sq. miles in Seward County. The district is made up of the communities and surrounding area of Emerald and Malcolm. The school district is organized K-6, 7-8, 9-12 at the same campus site located on the North edge of Malcolm. Malcolm Public School is classified as a Class III (K-12) district by the Nebraska Department of Education. For purposes of student activities and athletic competition, the Nebraska School Activities Association has classified Malcolm as a Class C School. MPS is a member of the East Central Nebraska Conference for its activities program.
