Loup County Public Schools is a Class II district (grades Pre-K-12) located in Taylor, Nebraska. It is fully accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education. Loup County is currently in a cooperative agreement with Sargent Public Schools for most activitites and is classified D-2 by the NSAA. The cooperative name is Twin Loup and mascot is the Wolves. Loup County Public School is currently on a 4 quarter school year with grades 7-12 utilizing an 8 period day. The district covers 572.4 square miles and operates 4 daily bus routes. LCPS is the only public school in the county.
