DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
The mission of the Battle Creek Public School is to provide our students the opportunity to master the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the social/emotional behaviors and attitudes necessary for them to become productive and respectful citizens who can successfully meet the challenges of a changing society. The Jr.-Sr. High School [constructed in 2004] boasts of excellent state-of-the-art facilities, is a Class C NSAA Classification, is AdvancED Accredited, has 208 students and a full time principal; the elementary school [Pre-K through 6th grade] has an attendance of 205 students with a full time principal. Signs of excellence at Battle Creek Schools include a curriculum/assessment/technology director, 1.5 counselors, 1:1 initiative for grades 6-12, five computer labs, computers in every room, a distance learning facility, Student Assistance Teams, and a trained Crisis Response Team.
