DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT


The mission of the Battle Creek Public School is to provide our students the opportunity to become productive and respectful citizens who can successfully meet the challenges of a changing global society. The Jr.-Sr. High School [constructed in 2004] boasts of excellent state-of-the-art facilities, is a Class C NSAA Classification, is AdvancED Accredited, has 224 students and a full time principal; the elementary school [Pre-K through 6th grade] has an attendance of 198 students with a full time principal. Signs of excellence at Battle Creek Schools include a curriculum/assessment/technology director, 1.5 counselors, 1:1 initiative for grades 6-12, 2 IPAD carts in the elementary, five computer labs, computers in every room, a distance learning facility, Student Assistance Teams, and a trained Crisis Response Team.
