DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT


Nebraska City Public Schools have four schools serving over 1400 students. In addition, Central Office housed the district’s Alternative school. The Board of Education, Administrative Team, patrons, students, staff and parents all promote a positive learning environment. The district provides high-quality educational opportunities for ALL students and recognizes the importance of a well-rounded educational experience. Balanced curriculum, instruction and assessment are aligned to the state standards. Various support systems including Special Education, Career Academies, English Language Learning, High Ability programs, Extra Curricular activities, training in Marzano strategies, support from ESU 4, PBiS (Positive Behavior interventions and Supports), RtI (Response to Intervention) and Fine Arts/Athletics programs all collectively support student learning.
