DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Falls City Public Schools, District 56, is located in the extreme southeast corner of Nebraska. The school district covers approximately 200 square miles and encompasses the communities of Falls City, Rulo, Salem, Preston, Barada, and Verdon. There are five buildings within the district, all 5 are located in Falls City. The schools are Falls City High School, which houses grades 9-12; Falls City Middle School, which houses grades 6-8; South Elementary School, which houses grades 3-5; North Elementary School, which houses grades K-2; and the Alternative School. Falls City Public Schools operates a Birth-3 Early Childhood Program (Sixpence) and North Elementary School also has an early childhood program (ages 3-4).
