DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Rock County Public Schools is located in the heart of the Sandhills. RCPS services an area of over 1000 square miles. The hub of RCPS is centered in Bassett, Nebraska, where Rock County High School and Bassett Grade School are located. Rose Community School operates 28 miles south of Bassett on Highway 183. Completing our district is Pony Lake Community School, which is located 23 miles southeast of Bassett. This is the eleventh year for RCPS to operate as one district. We educate 245 students grades PK-12 district-wide. Students are instructed by 28 certified staff for a 8.75 to 1 student/teacher ratio. The mission of Rock County Public Schools is to provide its students with positive educational experiences that instill life-long learning skills to nurture responsible,,contributing citizens.
