DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
GRPS is a consolidated district. Our district covers 2300 square miles consists of one 9-12 high school located in Gordon, a 6-8 middle school located in Rushville and two K-5 elementary schools including Pre-K located in Rushville and Gordon along with one rural attendance center located in Merriman. Schools in the district are AdvancEd and NDE accredited. With a high poverty rate, bordering a socio-economically impacted area, we are striving to positively impact student populations geographically and economically. GRPS has an enrollment of approximately 700 students and serves a population that is one fourth Native American. The district offers courses through distance learning and other modes of technology in addition to the district taught curriculum. Our staff and students actively work with mentoring programs to build relationships, develop cultural awareness and promote positive choices.
