DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Ord Public School District is located in Valley, Custer, Garfield and Greeley counties and covers 288.5 square miles. We operate 8 bus routes that travel approximately 850 miles daily. A Class 3 district, Ord is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the State of Nebraska. The district has a K-6 Elementary School and the 7-12 Jr/Sr High School in Ord, NE. We employ 50 Teachers, 2 Counselors, 3 Administrators and 50 Classified Support Staff for a total FTE of 93.81. The Ord School District's Curriculum has been examined by the state, they have judged it to be above and beyond the State Standards for requirements. However, the Ord staff has aligned the curriculum with the state standards for reporting purposes.
