DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Fort Calhoun Community School District continues its commitment to district-wide strategic planing. The mission of the school district is to Foster learning in an inspiring and caring environment, provide Opportunities for all students to be successful, to instill the attributes of Respect and responsibility among staff and students alike, and present students with the Tools to succeed in life. In our quest to fulfill our mission the district is in the last stage of building renovations. The final project is at our elementary where we are renovating the cafeteria area and adding a new kitchen. This project was undertaken due to some violations in our kitchen and the fact that we wanted to make the elementary more handicapped accessible. After this project the high school and elementary campuses will be complete. Both buildings are at/or close to full capacity. The district also operates an Alternative program, housing an 18-21 program and a Credit Recovery program.
