Wakefield Community School offers a comprehensive curricular and extra curricular program for students. Every student’s educational experience occurs in a safe, nurturing learning environment where technology enhances learning. "The mission of Wakefield Community School in partnership with parents and community is to develop all students into collaborative lifelong learners who demonstrate effective communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills in a changing global society." This is accomplished by providing students a highly qualified staff using effective instructional strategies. Wakefield School demographics are unique having a 51% Latino and 49% Caucasian makeup. Other factors include: low mobility rate (5.8%), free-reduced lunch rate (57%), Immigrant students (7.5%) & Limited English Proficient (18.3%). The motto of our school district states the vision of our collaborative educational team as we seek to “Educate, Empower, & Aspire” our students.
