DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The Arthur County School District is an accredited Class II school located in the remote village of Arthur, Nebraska. The district includes both a High School (Grades 7-12) and Elementary School(Grades K-6). Arthur County is the least populated county in Nebraska, although the district encompasses 746 square miles. Due to the enormity of the district boundaries and the distance to the next closest high school(35 miles) many of our students have lengthy commutes to attend school; fifty percent of the students travel at least 20 miles each day. Small class sizes have provided the district with some decided benefits. We offer 1:1 chromebooks for our 7-12 students and more than 90% of our graduates over the past five years have pursued some form of post high school education.
