DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Davenport school is the location of the Early Childhood Development Center. Referrals are processed at this location to determine if children have special needs in accordance to Nebraska Rule 51 AND Rule 52. Special Education services for children ages birth to three are provided in the home, children ages three to five receive special education support at Head Start, private preschools, one of three neighborhood elementary schools, or at this center based location. At Davenport there are preschool sessions available in the morning and afternoon. The students participate in the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment and this information is utilized in development of IFSPs and IEPs. Davenport has a very supportive PTA. Theresa Muhle is the building administrator.
