DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Ashland Park-Robbins Elementary School is located at 5050 South 51 Street. In 1994 two neighborhood schools, Ashland Park and Robbins, combined attendance areas to form a new elementary school. We serve children from preschool through sixth grade. Besides the regular classroom instruction, Ashland Park-Robbins Elementary School has a variety of programs serving students in English as a Second Language (ESL), early childhood education and a wide range of special education programs. With the involvement and support of parents and Adopt-A-School partners, our learning focus for students includes an emphasis in the development of effective reading, writing and math strategies, science knowledge, technology skills and respect and responsibility taught through out the school year. True to its mission, our school community places a high priority on the family and community as partners in fostering a climate of caring relationships and shared commitment in the education of their children.
