The Tri County School District was formed when the towns of DeWitt, Plymouth, Swanton and rural districts consolidated to form a district of 232 square miles in Jefferson, Gage, and Saline Counties. The district enrollment is 389 (PreK-12) students. The staff includes 3 administrative positions, 39 teachers, 37 classified staff members, 1 Community Counselor, and part-time nursing staff. Tri County Schools has a long tradition of rich academic and activity programs that span from the formation of the district until the present day. The operating budget for the district is $8,549,2060 with assessed valuation of $974,388,311.
