DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT


Lexington Public Schools is a district located in south central Nebraska in the Platte River valley. The district serves approximately 3,000 students in our Pre-K – 12th grade program. Following a period of rapid ethnic diversification, our schools and community are the recipients of rich cultural benefits. As a district, our goal is to provide a balanced educational foundation for ALL students. Lexington Public Schools supports and instructs rigorous academic standards and holds high expectations for our student body. Lexington Public Schools views learning as a life-long process and provides numerous educational opportunities for our students. Our secondary program offers a significant number of dual college credit opportunities. We proudly serve over 250 students in our early childhood programs, a thousand students whose first language is one other than English as well as 350 students in a Spanish/English Dual Language Program.
