DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Longfellow Elementary is a Title I School serving approximately 330 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Focused upon instilling the virtues of integrity, compassion, respect, and responsibility in students, Longfellow's character education program was recognized nationally in 2001 and in 2019. Longfellow School is organized into Professional Learning Communities that collaborate with the focus on the improvement of student learning. Staff, students and families work together to create an environment in which students can acquire the knowledge, skills, and behaviors essential to be successful individuals and responsible citizens. In 2017, Longfellow Elementary was recognized as a National Model Professional Learning Community School by All Things PLC.
