DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
The Arthur County School District is an accredited Class II school located in the remote village of Arthur, Nebraska. The district includes both a High School (grades 7-12) and Elementary School (Grades K- 6) . Arthur County is the least populated county in Nebraska, although the district encompasses 746 square miles. Due to the enormity of the district boundaries and the distance to the next closest school district(35 miles) many of our students have lengthy commutes to attend school; ifty percent of the students travel at least 20 miles each day. Small class sizes have provided the district with some decided benefits. We have technology available in the form of chromebooks for all students in grades K-6. Among the students who have completed their elementary and secondary education through our district over the past five years more than 90% of graduates have pursued some form of post high school education.
