DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Boone Central Elementary, at Albion, is part of the Boone Central Schools. If research is correct, elementary students at Boone Central should be enjoying an excellent start in their educational careers. All classes from kindergarten through fourth grade have fewer than 20 students. An emphasis on developing reading skills has been the thrust of the elementary program, including the implementation of Accelerated Reader, all-day kindergarten and a balanced approached to teaching literacy. In the 2006-2007 school year, Boone Central Elementary offered pre-school experience to three, four, and five-year-olds. Students at Boone Central Schools are offered quality educational opportunities with an emphasis on partnership with family and community. For the 2014-15 school year, we opened up a new section of pre-school for our three year old students. For the 2015-16 school year, our elementary will be using a new reading program which should benefit all students.
