DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Gibbon High School is home to approximately 260 students in grades 7 - 12. There are 25 certified staff, 10 classified staff, and 8 paraprofessionals who serve the GHS students. Services are provided to special needs students as well as to students wishing to take AP and college courses. Extracurricular activities include sports and fine/performing arts in the LouPlatte Conference. The mission of Gibbon Public Schools is to provide the opportunities for staff and students to maximize their strengths in a safe environment; engage students in instruction that is rigorous, relevant, and technologically progressive; teach, expect, model, practice, and support positive behavior; and communicate and collaborate with stakeholders in meaningful educational processes.
