DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Elm Creek Schools is a PK-12 district located 14 miles west of Kearney. The K-6 elementary school contains a pre-school offering a morning session for 3 year olds and an afternoon session for 4 year olds. We maintain small class sizes. We have blocked time so that students have ample time for math, reading and writing learning. Students also have instruction in art, music, computers, physical education and library skills in addition to guidance counseling. We use the Behavioral Intervention Support Team (BIST) model to help students experience success in the classroom and in other social situations. Elm Creek has a technology rich environment, with every classroom equipped with a iPad stations, in addition to a new computer lab. We also offer a summer program for all K-6 students during the month of June.
