DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Ravenna High School (District #69)students are required to pass 40 English credits, 30 math credits, 30 science credits, 30 social studies credits, 10 P.E. credits, 10 information technology, 5 speech credits,and 5 health credits. 90 elective credit hours. 250 credits are required for graduation. Most students participate in extra-curricular activities provided by the school including athletics, vocational clubs (FFA, FBLA, and Skills U.S.A.), Music, Band, Drama, etc. The high school implemented a 1:1 computer initiative in 2011-2012. Distance learning courses are available to the high school students. College credit classes and career articulation classes are available. Also, the school has implemented the use of an online self-directed class called Edmentum. Special education classes are provided from birth to age 21. During the 2016-2017 school year and the district added a data driven behavior model(MTSS) and a Behavior Interventionist.
