DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The Tekamah-Herman Community Schools is a Class III district attended by 500 students in grades K-12. In addition 40 preschool students attend a district operated program at the Herman Elementary School. Tekamah Elementary school adjoins the high school in Tekamah. Tekamah Elementary is staffed with 23 certified teachers in grades kindergarten through the sixth grade. A variety of programs are available for students, including Special Education, fine arts, and club sponsored athletic and activity programs.
