DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

David City Public Schools is a Class 3 rural school located in Butler County. Students have distance learning classes available, including dual-credit courses. The District is accredited by the State of Nebraska (Frameworks model). David City High school implemented a 1-to-1 laptop initiative during the 2010-11 school year for all students grade 9-12. The 1-1 program was expanded to include grades 7 and 8 in the 2012-13 school year. With the advent of the 1-to-1 program, technology has been integrated into all curricular areas at varying levels. There has been a continued focus on 21st Century Learning, and ongoing technology training is reinforcing that move. Also beginning in the Fall of 2013, the secondary employed a full-time assistant principal, and in the fall of 2014, David City Public Schools began employing a full-time special services director.
