DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Leyton High School is located in Dalton, Nebraska, which is located in northern Cheyenne and southern Morrill counties in the Panhandle of Nebraska. The school offers a wide variety of curricular offerings that will prepare a young person for the work force, military, and for college and university work. The faculty is relatively stable; there are positions open on staff from recent retirements on a small scale. The school climate is collegial. Students are quite active in a wide range of extra-curricular activities ranging from sports to the arts. Because we are a small high school, many students are involved in several activities thereby developing lifelong habits of activity and participation. Most of the students at Leyton High School are from families that have resided in the area for generations. Many of our students will graduate from colleges and universities and pursue careers predominantly in agriculture.
