Anselmo-Merna Public School is the result of the consolidation of the towns of Anselmo and Merna. The school is located in Merna Nebraska. Merna is located in Custer County, in Central Nebraska. We are 70 miles northwest of Grand Island on Highway 2. Anselmo-Merna School District is just over 400 square miles in size and is made up predominantly of an agricultural related economy. The district population is 1,225 people. We operate 6 bus routes and log over 112,000 miles on regular routes.
