DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
SSC Middle School is dedicated to supporting 850 students academically, socially & personally. Our staff works collaboratively to provide a safe and supportive learning environment, while recognizing the differences that exist among students. We utilize the PLC process to focus instruction on state standards. PLCs work to ensure consistency within each content area. We recognize the importance of data and utilize it to reflect, improve and drive instruction. All students have opportunities to participate in exploratory classes consisting of art, music, band, physical education, technology, careers, robotics, STEM, and health, and we have addition support during our exploratory to provide additional help to students struggling in math and reading. We offer additional support for our students throughout the day to get the help they need with our 30 minute intervention time and an Achievement Center (AC) where students can come and go as they need.
