DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
SSC Middle School is dedicated to supporting 850 students academically, socially & personally. Our staff works collaboratively to provide a safe and supportive learning environment, while recognizing the differences that exist among students. We utilize the PLC process to engage in reflective instructional practices. PLCs work to ensure consistency within each content area. We recognize the importance of data and utilize it to reflect, improve and drive instruction. All students have opportunities to participate in exploratory classes consisting of art, music, band, physical education, technology, careers, robotics, STEM, and health, and we also have additional support during our exploratory time to provide help to students struggling in math and reading. Four days a week, students can get academic help and enrichment during our 30 minute ELO Time. Throughout the day our Achievement Center (AC) is open to students, so they can get the support their needs as well.
