Cardinal Elementary is a 3 section building serving 400 students in K through 5th grade. Approximately 78% of students are minority, 29% are ESL, and 61% receive free or reduced lunch. The district’s severe/profound & elementary autism spectrum programs are located here. Cardinal emphasizes high expectations academically, socially and behaviorally. We employ 37 certified staff, 26 classified, and 1 full-time registered nurse. Cardinal is a school-wide Title I building, providing support in reading & family involvement. Our dynamic PTO supports many activities. Through diligent PLC work, the Cardinal staff works to constantly improve, keeping the needs of all children at the forefront. We set high standards of excellence by sharing discoveries, developing friendships, promoting student leadership, and helping others. At Cardinal, we believe both academic & social skills are vital to the growth of the students. We strive with the help of parents to mold well-rounded students.
