DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Student success and high levels of learning are valued by students, staff and families at Covington Elementary School. Covington is the academic home to nearly 380 first through fifth grade students. By working together toward our mission, our school has a strong sense of community with the desire for continuous improvement. The Covington staff is a committed group of professional educators who continually focus on instructional strategies that positively impact student learning. Through the use of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) our staff collaborate on a weekly basis to monitor student progress in key areas. In addition to valuing education, parents of the Covington students are active in our school PTA, support the home reading program, attend school activities and conferences.
