DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Homer Community School is an AdvancED accredited Pre-K through 12 public school located in northeast Nebraska. Homer Elementary has an enrollment of approximately 225 students in Pre-K through sixth grade and is a school-wide Title I building. A standards-based curriculum in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies have been developed. In addition, elementary students receive instruction in music, art, physical education, library skills, guidance, and computer skills weekly. The faculty continually implement best teaching strategies and practices to meet the needs of the student population and utilizes data from assessment tools to make instructional decisions.
