Chadron High serves a student body of approximately 245 students. The faculty is comprised of certified teachers, paraprofessionals, guidance, technology coordinator, curriculum/assessment director, media specialist, activities director, and principal. CHS offers dual credit college courses, AP courses, interactive distance education, guidance and nursing services, workplace readiness opportunities, ESL courses, and extra curricular opportunities. Students have many opportunities to excel at CHS & take college classes at Chadron State in their junior and senior year if they meet the criteria. Forty percent of the students at the high school qualify for free or reduced meals. The school has an upward bound program that supports first generation college preparation. In 2014 and 2015, CHS was ranked #2 by U.S. News & World report as best high school in Nebraska. 2015 Newsweek, recognized CHS as one of three top schools in Nebraska.
