Chadron High serves a student body of approximately 260 students. The faculty is comprised of certified teachers, paraprofessionals, guidance, technology coordinator, curriculum/assessment director, media specialist, activities director, and principal. CHS offers dual credit college courses, AP courses, interactive distance education, guidance and nursing services, workplace readiness opportunities, ESL courses, and extra curricular opportunities. Students have many opportunities to excel at CHS and take college classes at Chadron State College in their junior and senior year if they meet the criteria. Forty percent of the students at the high school qualify for free or reduced meals. The school has an upward bound program that supports first generation college preparation. In 2018, CHS was ranked #3 by U.S. News & World report as best high school in Nebraska.
