Chadron Intermediate elementary school serves 140 students in grades three and four. Staff include certified K-6 teachers for Regular Education, Library, Music, English Language, Computer and Physical Education. A Technology Coordinator and two school nurses are shared with the rest of the district. Support services provided to students include Title I, Special Education, and Guidance. The class average is 24 students per class. The after school program serves 60-70 students daily. The focus has been on homework support and enrichment using STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and approximately forty percent of the students qualify for free or reduced meals.
