DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Lexington Public Schools provides educational supports for children Birth -3 years old that are verified for special education. Referrals are made to the school or Services Coordination. The Services Coordinator then works with the Early Intervention Home-based Team to conduct any appropriate assessments to determine eligibility for services. Once eligibility is determined the team works closely with the child’s family to identify and work with the child’s strengths and to support their areas of need. A variety of supports are available which include: speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and educational support for the child’s overall development.
