DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Cozad acquired District Accreditation through AdvancED, switching to Nebraska Frameworks in the 2020-2021 school year. The Cozad School system is currently involved in an ongoing Continuous School Improvement process. Cozad Community Schools has adopted a comprehensive curriculum review process. The focus of this process is to identify what students should know or be able to do at various stages of their educational career. The MAP test is our main assessment tool to check for growth of our students related to our state standards. An important tool the faculty of Cozad Community Schools uses is the Professional Learning Community model to collaborate and continually develop curriculum. The goal of each PLC is to examine data and curriculum to ensure a meaningful and appropriate instruction of the curriculum for all students. Cozad Community Schools has adopted and completed its fourth year of training on the Marzano's Instructional Model and used the model for teacher evaluations.
