DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
During the 2015-16 school year, Gothenburg Jr. & Sr. High School implemented the one-to-one initiative where all 7-12 grade students received a Chromebook. The Discovery Center is now located on campus that includes a 2700 square foot greenhouse, Agricultural Science lab and an Auto-Mechanic's shop utilized by the entire K-12 staff and students. Additionally, “Habitudes” a new student career/social skill program was introduced to our 7-12 grade students last year. With huge success, our communication lines with patrons, businesses/community members were greatly improved by the Habitudes program and corresponding activities. District #20, consistently has a graduation rate over 90%, more than 85% of GHS graduates go onto post-secondary education, and over 66% of our 7-12 grade students participate in at least one or more of the 20+ activity offerings.
