DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Gothenburg Public Schools have incorporated a one-to-one initiative in grades 5 - 12 with all students receiving a school-owned Chromebook for their use at school and at home. The majority of courses utilize online learning as part of the instructional methodology. A Discovery Center is located on campus that includes a 2700 square foot greenhouse, Agricultural Science lab and an Auto-Mechanic's shop utilized by the entire K-12 staff and students. A 500+ seat Performing Arts Center with state-of-the-art sound and lighting is located at the center of campus just off of our "Main Street" area with decorative street lamps, benches, and greenery. District #20, consistently has a graduation rate over 97%, more than 85% of GHS graduates go onto post-secondary education, and over 70% of our 7-12 grade students participate in at least one or more of the 20+ activity offerings.
